For the 14th year in a row, Chevrolet is taking a strong stance in the battle against breast cancer, teaming up with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to support the ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ campaign. As part of its effort, the brand is bringing back its eye-catching pink Chevrolet’s Pink Pace Car for two upcoming NASCAR Cup Series races this October — one at Talladega Superspeedway and another at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Racing for Donations
Chevy’s support goes beyond raising awareness. For every caution lap completed in these two races, Chevrolet will donate $350, up to $50,000, to the ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ initiative. This initiative aims to support breast cancer research, patient support programs, and other critical services. Last year, 115 caution laps were recorded during the participating races, resulting in a $40,250 contribution to the ACS.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with the American Cancer Society and carry the ACS logo on the pace car during the month of October…It is always an honor to be able to utilize our platform in motorsports to support the initiative and continue to play a role in the fight against breast cancer.”
