Scheduled for Nov. 7, this historic moment marks the first time a Women’s Test has been part of an FIA World Championship. Both, Chambers and Martí – in the F1 Academy’s top 5 drivers – are prepped and ready to step into the all-electric racing world, piloting the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric car.

Chloe Chambers: A Trailblazer in American Racing

At just 19 years old, Chloe Chambers is already a name to watch. Hailing from Indiana, she’s set to make her Formula E debut after a stellar run in other motorsport arenas. This year, she’s been competing in the F1 Academy, claiming a win and three podiums.

Chambers’ motorsport journey kicked off in karting, becoming a champion when she was just eight years old. Fast forward ten years, she’s made her way through the Formula 4 United States Championship and the W Series Championship.

The 2023 season was huge for her as she won eight of twelve Porsche Sprint Challenge North America races. She also shattered records in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, becoming the first woman to win a race and grab pole position.

If that wasn’t enough, Chambers even holds a Guinness World Record for the fastest vehicle slalom. Clocking the record of 47.45 seconds in 2020 behind the wheel of a Porsche 718 Spyder. BTW, she was 16 years-old.

This young super-star accumulates aura points by the minute.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Andretti Formula E team in Valencia,” Chambers shared. “It will be different for me, being my first experience in electric racing, but I’m excited to take on this new challenge and expand my horizons.”

Nerea Martí: The Spanish Sensation Returns Home

For Spanish driver Nerea Martí, this opportunity hits home – literally. Martí will be testing on her hometown track, Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, where she first caught the racing bug.

Starting off in karting on her family’s track, Martí quickly rose through the ranks. She made her professional debut in the Spanish F4 Championship in 2019, securing a podium in her very first start. That same year, she earned the title of top rookie, catching the attention of major racing teams.

Being no stranger to breaking barriers. In 2021, she also became the highest-ranking rookie in the W Series, finishing an impressive fourth overall in the standings. Her standout performance earned her a prize FIA Formula 3 test day. This positions her as one of the most promising young talents in motorsport.

Currently competing in the F1 Academy, she’s already racked up one win and nine podiums this season, landing herself in the top five of the 2024 Drivers’ Championship standings.

“Getting behind the wheel of a Formula E car is an incredible opportunity. Formula E represents the future of racing, and I’m going to soak up every moment and learn as much as I can from the experience,” Martí said.
