The series also saw its global fanbase expand by 23%, totaling an average of 374 million fans for the season. Formula E Social Media and Digital Growth

Formula E’s digital presence also experienced a sharp increase. The series’ social media following grew by 20%, driving over 1 billion impressions across its channels. Video views on Formula E’s platforms skyrocketed by 147%, underscoring the success of its engaging content strategy. From behind-the-scenes moments to driver interactions, the social content played a significant role in boosting fan engagement and overall visibility.

Fans consistently rated the series highly, considering it more exciting and almost twice as innovative as Formula 1. This perspective is largely driven by the cutting-edge technology being developed on track and transferred to consumer road cars, an advantage Formula E continues to promote.

Looking Ahead: Season 11 and the GEN3 Evo Car

Formula E’s momentum looks set to continue in Season 11, which will kick off in December 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil. The upcoming season features the largest calendar yet, with 17 races across 11 iconic cities, including new double-headers in Monaco, Tokyo, and Shanghai, and a return to Miami and Jakarta. The highly anticipated GEN3 Evo car will also debut, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 1.82 seconds, making it the fastest electric race car to date.

Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E, shared his enthusiasm for the future: “I’m delighted to reveal these impressive results which demonstrate the continued growth of our fanbase worldwide. We are still incredibly ambitious and are already planning an even bigger and more exciting year for Season 11. Thanks to our loyal and growing fanbase, our partners and broadcasters, we will continue pushing the boundaries as the noisiest, quietest motorsport championship in the world.”

With this robust growth, Formula E aims to continue revolutionizing motorsport, solidifying its place as a leader in sustainable racing and innovative technology.
