McLaren CEO Zak Brown puts an end to speculation as he declares Lando Norris’ worth is beyond any price tag, sending a hands-off warning to Red Bull.

In Formula 1, the transfer market is always buzzing with speculations and rumors. One such rumor making rounds involves Red Bull’s keen interest in luring McLaren’s star driver, Lando Norris, to their team.

However, McLaren CEO Zak Brown has firmly shut down any talks of a potential transfer fee, stating that there is no amount of money that would make them part ways with the talented driver.

The 2023 season witnessed the rise of not one but two exciting talents in the McLaren camp – Norris and Oscar Piastri. With victories and podium finishes, the duo showcased their prowess on the track, making McLaren’s driver lineup one of the most captivating storylines heading into the 2024 season.

Despite being a newcomer to Formula 1 in 2023, Piastri’s impressive performances didn’t go unnoticed. On the other hand, Norris, hailed as a natural leader, demonstrated his skills behind the wheel, especially after the Austrian Grand Prix when he quickly adapted to the improved MCL60.

The buzz around a potential transfer of Norris to Red Bull gained traction, with whispers of a £100 million price tag. However, Zak Brown, in a recent statement, dismissed such speculations, making it clear that there is no figure that McLaren would even consider for letting go of Norris.

“He’s quite a valuable racing driver, a great asset to the racing team. There is no number that we would be interested in trading him for.”

“The resources we have now are exactly where we need to be. Resources will not hold us back from achieving anything we need to achieve, drivers included.”
