DS Penske chase championship points in Portland E-Prix double-header

This weekend, DS Automobiles and Penske Autosport will compete in the Portland E-Prix, a highlight of the FIA Formula E World Championship. Scheduled for June 29-30, this American double-header is set to feature numerous overtaking moves. Showcasing the dynamic nature of Formula E racing.

Two-time Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne and 2022 champion Stoffel Vandoorne are prepared to lead the Franco-American team to success. Their experience and skills will be crucial as DS Penske strives for a strong performance in the team championship.

The Portland Circuit

The Portland E-Prix circuit, known for its rapid and wide layout, features 12 turns over 3.1 kilometers. This challenging track is expected to be a battleground where DS Penske aims to exploit their know-how and compete at the forefront of rounds 13 and 14.

Vergne, a brand ambassador for DS Automobiles, is currently 31 points off the Season 10 podium. Determined to represent the French manufacturer with pride, Vergne and Vandoorne plan to utilize their extensive experience to remain among the leaders throughout the weekend.

Both of the Portland races will commence at 23:00 CET on June 29 and 30, promising thrilling late-night action for fans.

These races are particularly important for us. There are more than 100 points up for grabs before the end of the season, so we will give it everything to secure a place on the final podium in the teams’ classification.

We are currently just three points away from that third place, so absolutely anything is still possible in this championship. As for the drivers’ standings, JEV is only 31 points off the final podium place. Knowing our champion’s massive talent and determination, I’m sure he has some great races in store for us with great results!
